how are tungsten fishing weights made
Tungsten fishing weights is a kind of high-density tungsten alloy fishing gear, which is widely used in angling activities. Its main raw material is tungsten powder or tungsten alloy powder, which is an ideal material for making fish pendants due to its high density (about 19.3 g/cm³), corrosion resistance and environmental protection and non-toxicity. The production process includes raw material preparation, molding, processing and surface treatment.
First, tungsten powder is mixed with other metal powders in proportion and pressed into basic shapes such as spherical and cylindrical by high-pressure equipment. Subsequently, the semi-finished products are sintered in a high-temperature furnace at 1200°C to 1500°C.
After sintering, the tungsten fishing sinker is precision machined by CNC machine tools, such as turning and milling, to ensure that their dimensions are accurate, and holes or grooves are punched or cut on the surface according to the application. To improve the appearance and performance of the finished product, it is also polished to make the surface smoother and reduce underwater resistance. Meanwhile, some of the products are coated with environmentally friendly paint to enhance rust resistance and adapt to different water environments.
