what is the carbide roller ring Application and maintenance ?
When the tungsten carbide roller ring is installed, anhydrous alcohol or acetone should be used to wipe the inner hole of the roller ring and the outer ring of the cone sleeve to prevent hard particles from scratching the joint surface and forming a stress concentration source.
Cemented carbide is a hard and brittle material, so it is strictly prohibited to hit the roller ring with hammer or heavy instrument when installing the roller ring.
If the assembly is too tight, this tensile stress may cause radial cracks in the roller ring. Because cemented carbide relative to steel body, its tensile strength is poor, the compressive strength is very high.
If the assembly is too loose, then when rolling, the cone sleeve and the roller ring may slip, which may cause wear or scratches on the contact surface, and serious damage to the roller ring due to local stress concentration.
