Are tungsten carbide burr single use?
Tungsten carbide burr is mainly composed of hard phase tungsten carbide and bonded phase cobalt, which has the characteristics of high hardness, high strength, high wear resistance, etc. It is suitable for the processing of many materials. Due to its high hardness, wear resistance and good cutting performance, it is widely used in metal processing, mold manufacturing, precision machining and other fields. Its higher wear resistance enables it to maintain its cutting performance over many uses, so it is usually not a single use.
The working principle of the tungsten carbide burr is to clamp the tool on a high-speed rotating tool (such as power tools, air tools or machine tools), through the rotary movement of the tool and the serrated surface of the cutting edge to realize the cutting, grinding or finishing of the material. In use, the tool needs to be clamped, clamping positive, the cutting direction should be from the right to the left uniform movement, to avoid reciprocating cutting and excessive force.
Under proper use and maintenance, tungsten carbide burr can be reused many times until they are worn to the point where they can no longer cut effectively. When using a tungsten carbide burr, care should be taken to select the proper rotational speed and feed to avoid overloading the tool and causing damage.
Regular cleaning and maintenance are usually required to remove accumulated chips and fragments on the tungsten carbide burr surface to maintain the sharpness and efficiency of the tungsten carbide burr teeth, which can prolong its service life.
